About Kamakshi (she/her)

I’ve been walking this sacred Earth for quite awhile now. I wasn’t brought up with the point of view of sacredness, sadly absent in our white settler culture. I was fortunate though to have a father who clearly found his solace in nature. As a family we hiked, camped, went swimming and fishing. I’m quite sure it saved my life. I have what is now called a “deep nature connection”. This is the birthright of every human being though largely missing within the last generations.

I am a lifelong student of human nature as well as of Wild Nature. A traumatic childhood and the resulting toxic stress gives rise to a ‘survivor syndrome’, a perpetual vigilance where acute observation skills are formed. The paradox of life: how our pearls form under great pressure, the beautiful lotus flower blossoms from the muck below and what has borne out in my calling to help others heal: my “mess” has become my message.

The culmination of hard-won transformation out of trauma through years of dedicated personal and spiritual growth, is my artist/activist expression in my two one-woman shows, Wild At Hart. and Resilient AF. I’m astounded by my own guts to have told my stories, many of which had never been spoken, to hundreds of audience members. I share this with you to say: my life’s experience, professional training, devotion to healing, depth of knowing, expertise in holding safe space and fierce commitment to my clients’ awakening, empowerment and fulfillment are what I bring to every session, program and passage that I guide.

I believe in miracles because I have lived them. I see every challenge as an opportunity. Issues can be resolved, wounds healed and broken hearts mended. I am your soul’s advocate and will champion your true self and strength as you come to own it yourself. Let’s do this thing.

About Spiritual Psychology:

Kamakshi earned her master’s degree in spiritual psychology from the University of Santa Monica. She was awarded Student of the Year and later honored as Angel of the Year for her eight years of service as adjunct faculty.

USM pioneered the integration of practical psychological techniques with powerful spiritual tools. For over 30 years, graduates have been using their transformation in consciousness to transform the worlds of coaching, business, education, parenting, government, medicine, media, communities, activism and more.

From the vantage point of Spiritual Psychology, we see that we are Souls who have come here in this lifetime to fulfill Spiritual curriculum. As Spiritual beings, our primary goal is not to change life on this earth. Rather, life on this earth exists the way it does to provide us with experiences through which we can transform ourselves—meaning learning to express the essence of who we are in fuller and deeper ways. And the best description of our inherent nature is that we are, at our core, comprised of the energy we call Loving. So Spiritual Awakening is about becoming more and more aware of our nature as Loving beings. The irony is that the only way life on this earth transforms is when enough people transform themselves. It’s from this place of inner transformation that we can make a meaningful contribution in our world.

"When seen with the eyes of initiation, the struggles we experience secretly seek to activate a deeper healing and greater illumination than we could initiate on our own."
